Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a 14-week travel assignment in Augusta, GA. This is a high-acuity inpatient oncology position caring for adult and geriatric patients across the oncology continuum, from diagnosis through end-of-life care. The ideal candidate will have strong oncology nursing experience, chemotherapy knowledge, and confidence managing complex infusion therapies and oncologic emergencies in an inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients in an inpatient Med Surg Oncology setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized oncology care plans
- Administer medications, blood products, chemotherapy, and infusion therapies safely
- Manage central lines, implanted ports, and IV access devices
- Monitor patients for chemotherapy reactions and oncologic emergencies
- Provide symptom management, pain control, and end-of-life support
- Manage PCA pumps, CADD pumps, and continuous medication drips
- Maintain chemo precautions and safe body fluid handling post-chemotherapy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Document patient care accurately in Epic
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (GA)
- BLS Certification
- OCN Certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology (Med Surg) RN experience
- Epic charting experience (Required)
- Inpatient oncology experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a confident Oncology RN with strong inpatient oncology experience, chemotherapy administration knowledge, and comfort caring for complex adult oncology patients across the full continuum of treatment and supportive care. Candidates should be skilled in infusion management, pain control, and end-of-life oncology nursing.
