Recovery Room RN
 

• Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements). *Orientation for this unit will be held bi-weekly on Tuesdays. 6/9. 6/23 
   
• Shift: Variable shift times and lengths. Traveler will be working a mix of 8,10 or 12 hours on days, evenings, nights depending on needs of the unit. 36 hrs guaranteed. Please confirm traveler is aware prior to accepting
   
• Ratios: 1:5, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 Per ASPAN 
   
• Skills REQ: Caring for patients across the lifespan. Greater than 1 year PACU experience required. Previous ICU experience required. 1 yr EPIC charting experience/competence required. Pediatric experience preferred. Tele Interpretation, Ventilators, IV insertion, PICC lines required. PA lines preferred.
   
• First-Timers Accepted: yes but previous travel preferred.
   
• Weekend REQ: TBD
   
• Certs REQ: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS.
   
• Is on-call REQ? Yes, potentially three-night call shifts per month, 2100-0530 and one weekend, 2100 Friday until 0530 Monday
   
• Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, to ICU occasionally if qualified.

• Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: total joint (hip and knee), laparoscopic appendectomy, laminectomy, opthalmologic surgery, open reduction internal fixation for distal joint, arthroscopic joint (shoulder, knee), exploratory laparoscopy/laparotomy, Laparoscopic hysterectomy, EVAR, pacemaker insertion/lead extraction, robotic asst. Thoracoscopy/thoracotomy, TURBT, TURP, 
   
• Any special procedure done on the unit? Post-operative nerve block placement, lumbar puncture, epidural blood patch . Equipment: Stryker rolling stretchers, Phillips monitors, Baxter SpectrumIQ IV pumps, Bair hugger warming system
