Job Title: Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Facility: John Peter Smith Hospital
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP (May starts also considered)

Schedule

Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 4x10s (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
Alternate Schedule (per unit): Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Not specified

Position Overview

John Peter Smith Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care inpatient setting. This role involves evaluating and treating patients with a variety of medical conditions, helping restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans for acute care patients
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Current licensure through the Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners
Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment

Preferred Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist (acute care preferred)
Experience with diverse inpatient populations
