Unit Details

Beds/Rooms:
- 2 Cath Labs
- 2 Hybrid Peripheral/OR Suites
Patient Ratio: RN 1:1
Charting System: EPIC (required), Epic Cupid (preferred)
Equipment: Alaris, Omnicell
Floating: No (IR and Cath Lab are separate departments)

Patient Population & Case Types

Coronary artery disease
STEMI, cardiogenic shock
Complex total occlusions
Diagnostic Cath procedures
Valvular disease
Peripheral vascular disease (limb salvage, carotid stenosis, thrombosis)
Impella and LVAD insertions

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience required
- Coronary
- Structural heart
- Complex PCI
- Peripheral cases
First-time travelers accepted if highly experienced in the above
1-year experience not accepted
Must live 100+ miles from the facility
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Required Certifications & Education

Certs: BLS, ACLS
Credentials: RT (or equivalent) or RCIS (required)
Education: AA or AAS Degree

Required Skills

Coronary, complex PCI, and peripheral experience
Ability to perform table movement (panning)
Arrhythmia recognition and treatment
Critical patient assessment skills
