PAY:
Hourly Pay: $35.5/hr on W2
Housing Stipend: $700 weekly
Meals: $546 weekly
Weekly Gross: $2524 weekly for 36 hours.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN - Labor & Delivery
Location - 1401 East State Street, Rockford, IL 61104
JOB DETAILS:
Full Time - 13 weeks contract
Night Shift - 7 pm to 7:30 am (12X3 shift) // 36 hours weekly
Weekend REQ: Yes - every other weekend and holiday
Work Location - On Location
Ability to commute/relocate: Rockford, IL 61104: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients throughout antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases
Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including monitoring fetal heart rate and contraction patterns
Assist with labor management, including induction, augmentation, and pain control (e.g., epidurals)
Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed
Support vaginal deliveries and assist physicians during cesarean sections
Monitor for complications and respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., fetal distress, hemorrhage)
Educate and support patients and families on labor process, breastfeeding, and newborn care
Provide emotional support and advocate for patient-centered care
Assist with newborn assessment, stabilization, and immediate care after delivery
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and pediatric teams
Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
REQUIREMENT:
At least 2 years of experience within the specialty - Required
IL RN License - Required
BLS , ACLS, NPR - Required
Experience is a mid-large hospital
