Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
Certification: BLS (AHA or ARC)
Charting System: Required Epic
Professional Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED: Goal setting with patient/family, Intake assessment/interview, Medicare state regulations, Patient/Family education and support & Positioning/preventive shearing and pressure ulcers
*Symptom Assessment/Management Skills REQUIRED: Altered mental status, Anorexia and Cachexia, Aphasia, Constipation/diarrhea, Nausea/vomiting & Pressure ulcer staging
End of Life Care Skills: Death pronouncement, Death/dying counseling, Identify Spiritual needs, Perideath care of family & Postmortem Care
-Ethical and Legal Issues Skills: Advanced directives, Medical futility, Medical abandonment, Organ donation, Palliative sedation & Withholding/withdrawing treatment
Call requirements are Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8pm – 8 am call rotations along with the other RNs in the department. We have a designated RN who covers weeknight call Monday-Thursday however we do take volunteers to cover when she is off for PTO.
