Description
Mandatory Requirements (Read Carefully):
- Active Alaska RN License – REQUIRED at time of submittal
- Urgent Care experience within the last 2 years – REQUIRED
- Flu Vaccine – Proof REQUIRED
Start Date Notice:
- Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received Candidates must complete fingerprinting within 2–3 days of offer acceptance to avoid delays
Position Overview:
This RN role works within the Urgent Care Department, supporting providers and clinic operations in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient clinic workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and clinical support to providers
- Ensure efficient clinic operations, including front desk & patient flow
- Oversee clinic opening & closing procedures
- Maintain medication inventory and clinical supplies
- Perform quality control checks (Point of Care testing)
- Accurately document all care and services
- Collaborate with clinic staff, providers, and other departments
- Maintain infection control and safety standards
Requirements:
- Active Alaska RN License (Required at submission)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Urgent Care experience
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of nursing processes & patient assessment
- Excellent communication & teamwork skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with specimen collection & clinical equipment
- Strong critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Perform hands-on patient care duties throughout shift
