Job Description

Type of Patients on Unit: General Medicine

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36, but can be cancelled up to 3 times per contract

Weekend Hours: every 3rd weekend rotation

Call Requirements: N/A

Float Requirements: Other units in the acute care division, including to facilities within a 25 mile radius

 Number of Beds: 24

Patient Ratios: 1:6

Equipment: general hospital equipment for an acute care unit

EMR: Cerner

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Any unacceptable attire: Fingernails must be compliant with TJC and CMS guidelines; shoes must be close toed with backs

 

Requirements:

2YRS+ Exp Working in Specialty 

2YRS+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting 

ACTIVE BLS (AHA)

Must Have Skills/Experience: neuro/post-stroke acute care, dysphagia screenings, stroke assessments, BCMA, time management, interdisciplinary communication
