Shift:

Need travelers to be 4x9's, variable shifts (5:00AM-8:00PM)

 

Unit Information:

Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: All 

Common Diagnosis/Treatment: ENT, General, Surgical oncology, Ortho, Urology, Breast, Bariatrics, Colorectal, Plastics. Everything except Neurosurgery

Number of Beds: 19 bed Pre op/same day surgery and 12 bed phase I PACU. Both are required in each travel contract

Patient Ratios: 2:1 average 

Equipment: 

EHR: Surginet-Cerner, Omnicell 

Weekend Hours: One every 5-6ish weeks 

Call Requirements: Yes

Call burden: In a 6-week scheduling block average of 6-8 on call shifts including weekends and holidays (if pertinent).

 

Requirements:

YRS+ Exp Working in Specialty 

YRS+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting 

ACTIVE BLS (AHA)

ACTIVE ACLS (AHA)

Ambulatory/Outpatient, Inpatient, Level III Trauma Center, Pedi PACU, Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Pre-Post, Arterial line management, Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Endo/Laparoscopic, ENT, General, Gyn, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total joints, Plastics, Robotics, Thoracic, Urology, Vascular, AAA repair, Cardiac arrest, Cardioversion, Carotid Endarterectomy, Vascular surgery, Radical neck dissection, Tonsillectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon surgery, Whipple, AV fistula/shunt, Renal surgery, TURP, Bilateral tubal ligation, Hysterectomy, Mastectomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, PICC line care and management, Starting IVs, Antiarrhythmics, Anticoagulants, Antihypertensives, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Narcotics/ Analgesics, Procedural Sedation Administration, Reversal agents, Anterior/ Posterior fusion, Cervical fusions, Spine surgery, Stroke Scale, Circulation Checks, Open reduction and internal fixation, Total joint replacement, Management of pediatric patients, Abdominoplasty, Breast augmentation, Airway assessment, Care of Ventilated patients, Chest tube management, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, Fresh tracheostomy, Interpretation of ABGs, Placement of Oral/nasal airways, Conscious Sedation, Epidural, General, Local, Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), Nerve Blocks, Spinal, Medication reconciliation, Obtain 12 lead EKG, Obtain Operative/Procedural Consent, Pre/Post Operative procedures, Pre-op Assessment, Pre-op Education, Review History and Physical, Straight urinary catheterization female, Straight urinary catheterization male, Wound Vacs, Interpretation and communication of lab values, Isolation Precautions, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocols, Pain Assessment and Management, PCA pump and management, RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale
