RN – Telemetry | Travel Assignment | ASAP Start

We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity unit. This role requires strong cardiac and post-operative care experience, especially with open heart and vascular patients.

Position Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Unit: Surgical Telemetry
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 (may go up to 1:5 overnight)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required to like units

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience (required)
• Travel experience required (hard stop)
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Must have strong experience in:
  • Surgical telemetry
  • Open heart (24–28 hours post-op)
  • Vascular care (groin and radial band management)
  • IV skills
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Telemetry experience: 2–3 years required
• Preferred (not required): VAD, TAVR experience

Clinical Skills Required:

• Breathing treatments
• Chest tube setup and care
• CPAP/BiPAP
• Tracheostomy care
• Blood and blood product administration
• Cardioversion/defibrillation
• Epicardial pacer management
• LVAD management

Certifications:

• BLS (required)
• ACLS (required)
• NIHSS (required)
