Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) provides perioperative care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. They ensure a safe surgical environment, assist the surgical team, and monitor patient status to support optimal outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating room and ensure sterile environment
- Assist surgeons and surgical team during procedures
- Monitor patient condition and maintain safety throughout surgery
- Perform pre-op and post-op patient assessments
- Manage surgical instruments and supplies
- Administer medications and IV therapy as needed
- Document procedures and patient care accurately
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license of NY
- BLS, required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience
