Position Summary:
In this role, mental health professionals function as Mental Health Coordinators, responsible for planning and providing non‑medical clinical mental health services within a detention facility. Providers must perform all duties at a pace and performance level consistent with correctional healthcare standards.
 
Schedule:
• 8-hour shifts
• Day shift (1st or 2nd shift)
• Weekdays and weekends as scheduled
• 40 hours/week guaranteed
• Open availability required per client scheduling policy
 
Contract Details:
• 13‑week initial assignment
• Auto-offer (no interview required)
• Start date available upon ICE clearance approval
 
Pay Package:
W2:
• $35.91/hr
Stipends:
• $1,442/week (non-taxed, travel eligible)
Weekly Gross:
• $2,878.40
 
Position Responsibilities:
• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and record review
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans
• Provide ongoing counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health support
• Document evaluations and treatments accurately in health records
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
• Apply psychological counseling theory and evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with facility and interdisciplinary staff
 
Requirements:
• Current, active California license (LCSW or LPC required)
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a comparable role
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
• U.S. Citizenship required (ICE clearance)
• Ability to pass extensive background and credit investigation
• Minimum age: 18 years
 
Credentials & Licensure:
• Required: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT (CA license)
• Valid driver’s license 
 
Clearance Information:
• ICE clearance required (expedited process available for new activations)
• Clearance timeframe: approximately 4–6 weeks
• Candidates may start immediately upon clearance approval
