Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) – WVU System

Submission Rules (Important Filters 🚫)

• You can only be submitted to ONE job across the West Virginia University Health System at a time
• Must live outside 50 miles (based on driver’s license address)
• Driver’s license (unexpired) is required at submission
• Former staff/travelers:
  • Must be gone 2 years before returning

Core Requirements

• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ARRT (Radiography)
• License:
  • West Virginia state license
• Radiation Badge:
  • Must be provided by your agency (not the facility)

Department Overview

• Modality: General Radiology (X-ray)
• Rooms/Scanners: 5
• Daily Volume: ~400 studies/day (very busy department)
• Systems:
  • EMR: Epic
  • PACS: Fuji Synapse

Equipment You’ll Use

• Toshiba radiography rooms
• Carestream portable X-ray units
• OEC C-arms (for OR cases)

Must-Have Skills

• C-arm (OR imaging)
• Fluoroscopy
  👉 These are non-negotiable—this is not a basic X-ray-only role

Work Environment

Clinical Work

• Mix of:
  • Routine X-rays
  • OR cases (C-arm)
  • Fluoro studies
• No IV starts required

Support Structure

• Radiologist in-house 24/7
• Residents present
• No RRA (you’ll be more hands-on)

Scheduling

• Shifts: Day / Evening / Night options
• Weekends: Required
• Holidays: Possibly required
• Call: None

• Floating: No (big plus 👍)
• Scrubs: Provided
