- Patient Ratios : Pre-op 1:1; Short Stay (Phase II) 3:1 RN
- Unit Staffing Description: Unit Secretary nurses, PCA, Phlebotomist
- Type of Equipment: Meditech, Hobilab
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Scheduling requirements: M-F 1200 – 2030 Variable/Flexible
- Floating policy: None

Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set:
Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)
- Pre-op and Phase II Surgical Discharge
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- 2+ Years of Hosp/Travel Exp.
Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)
- PACU EXPERIENCE
- IV Skills
- Meditech Experience Preferred
Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)
- Active TX RN License – Temp license are no longer accepted
Procedures performed on unit:
- Pain Blocks with Anesthesia
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
- Scrub Color
- RN: Scrubs provided by the facility
- Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy
- Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
- Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
