Interventional Radiology / Cardiovascular Technologist

Shift Details

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Requirement: Weekends required

Position Summary
The Technologist provides critical diagnostic aid by performing organ and body scans. You will assist Radiologists and Physician Assistants (PAs) during complex interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety and technical precision.

Core Responsibilities

• Clinical Procedures: Perform specialized imaging, including angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional/therapeutic procedures.
• Patient Care: Prepare and position patients accurately; monitor their condition during procedures and report any abnormal activity.
• Technical Execution: Select precise anatomic and technical parameters; prepare and administer contrast media and medications within state and federal regulations.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow radiation safety protocols and ensure all activities meet regulatory agency standards.
• Protocol Management: Monitor existing protocols and recommend refinements to improve diagnostic quality or safety.

Requirements

• Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 1–2 years of experience OR
  • Associate/Technical Degree OR
  • 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
• Certifications (Required prior to hire):
  • BLS Provider: (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
  • ARRT (R): Radiologic Technologist credentialed in Radiography.
  • CCI (CCT): Cardiographic Technician credentialed via Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • State License: Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Radiology Tech licensure.
• Preferred:
  • CCI (RCIS): Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
