Description

Med/Surg Nurse (Days) - Contract

Location: Great Falls, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (07:00 - 19:30)
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care to pediatric and adult patients before and after surgical procedures and with a broad range of medical conditions.
  • Deliver care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintain professional nursing standards while interacting with patients and their significant others.
  • Provide direct care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.
  • Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
  • Give direction to LPNs, CNAs, housekeeping, and dietary staff.
  • Receive direction from providers, charge nurse, acute care director, and CNO.
  • Work within established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Patient-to-staff ratio is 5:1.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Montana
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • BLS certification

Additional Information

  • Work setting includes hospital and ambulatory service center environments.
