PACU RN - Midland, TX

Contract Duartion: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (5x8s) – 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Call: Required

Job Description:

Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced PACU setting. Responsible for monitoring patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia, and collaborating with surgical and anesthesia teams. Will also assist with Pre-Op coverage as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients post-surgery, ensuring safe recovery
• Manage patients with nerve blocks, central lines, chest tubes, A-lines, and intubations
• Provide care across multiple specialties including ortho, neuro, general, urology, dental, GYN, and ENT (adults & peds)
• Administer medications and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Assist with Pre-Op patient care when required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of PACU or relevant critical care experience preferred
• Pediatric experience required; critical care experience strongly preferred
• Experience in Level II Trauma setting preferred
• Must be flexible and able to take call

Certifications:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS - Required
