🧼 Sterile Processing Technician (SPD) – Early Shift | Contract to Hire

Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed
Duration: 13 Weeks → Contract to Permanent

🩺 Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical operations through the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and tracking of surgical instruments. This role is critical to maintaining patient safety and infection control standards.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Disassemble and reassemble complex instruments per IFUs
- Assemble and package instrument trays accurately
- Operate washers, autoclaves, and sterilization equipment
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage
- Document sterilization cycles, inventory, and discrepancies
- Follow ANSI/AAMI standards, SOPs, and manufacturer IFUs
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and decontamination areas
- Communicate effectively with team members and operations staff
🎯 Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience
- Knowledge of:
- Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization processes
- Surgical instruments and tray assembly
- Infection control practices
- Experience with sterilization equipment (autoclaves, washers)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Basic computer skills for tracking and documentation

- CRCST, CIS, or equivalent required
🎓 Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
