Description
Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Glens Falls
Facility: Glens Falls Hospital
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
Hours: 36 hours/week (48 hours considered)
Job Overview:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive cardiopulmonary care, including evaluation, treatment, and patient education. This role involves working with patients of all ages across multiple hospital departments, managing respiratory deficiencies and abnormalities under physician direction and established clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiopulmonary assessments and administer respiratory therapies
- Provide life support and critical care respiratory interventions
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment
- Deliver care in ICU, ER, L&D, and general patient care units
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatments
- Follow hospital protocols and physician orders for respiratory care
Required Qualifications:
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License
- Associate’s Degree in an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Labor & Delivery / Neonatal Resuscitation experience
- EPIC experience – Mandatory (must be noted at submission)
