❤️🩹 Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist – Travel Contract
Location: Fairfield, OH
Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (Level III)
Schedule: 4x10s | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP

🩺 Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to support a high-volume lab performing structural heart, left heart, and peripheral vascular procedures. This role requires strong technical skills, including scrubbing cases, running imaging equipment (II), and fluoroscopy.
🧪 Unit Details
- Level III Cath Lab
- 3 Cath Lab Rooms
- 10+ cases per day
- Procedures include:
- Structural heart cases
- Left heart caths
- Peripheral vascular
- ECMO
- Impella
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in cardiac catheterization procedures
- Operate imaging systems (II) and fluoroscopy equipment
- Prep patients and maintain sterile field
- Monitor and record procedural data
- Calibrate and maintain cath lab equipment
- Assist physicians during procedures
- Maintain safe radiologic environment (PPE required)
- Support inventory management (FIFO) and supply tracking
🎯 Required Qualifications
- ARRT Certification (REQUIRED)
- Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab procedures
- Ability to:
- Scrub cases
- Run imaging (II)
- Perform fluoroscopy
- Strong ECG interpretation and patient monitoring skills
- Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
📅 Call Requirements
- 1 night per week (5:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Every 4th weekend (Friday 5 PM – Monday 7:30 AM)
- No block scheduling
🧠 Skills & Abilities
- Strong analytical skills for patient monitoring and decision-making
- Ability to recognize normal vs abnormal ECG rhythms
- Mechanical aptitude with imaging and monitoring systems
- Strong communication with physicians, staff, and patients
- Ability to perform under pressure in critical situations
🎓 Education
- Vocational/Technical Degree required
- Specialty:
- Radiologic Technology
- RCIS
- Electrophysiology program
⭐ Preferred
- Experience with structural heart and advanced procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred, not required)
🏋️ Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and position patients
- Must wear lead apron and radiation PPE
