🩺 RN – Med Surg Neuro | Job Snapshot

📍 Shift Details

Shift: Night (3×12 hours)
Timing: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week
Total (13 weeks): ~468 guaranteed hours

Specialty: Medical Surgical – Neuro
Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Charge experience required
- First-time travelers: Accepted

📅 Schedule & Requirements

Weekend: Every other weekend
On-call: ❌ Not required
Floating: Within service line only
Block Scheduling: ❌ Not available

ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
IV Start competency
Charting: EPIC experience required

⚠️ Must pass Relias EKG exam (Dysrhythmia Interpretation)

📍 Candidate Criteria

Local Rule: Must live 75+ miles from facility
License: Pending license accepted
RTO: Max 7 days

Neurological & neuromuscular cases:
- Stroke, Epilepsy, MS, ALS, GBS, tumors, infections

Skills/Procedures:

Lumbar puncture (LP), Lumbar drains
Foley, IV starts, G-tubes, tracheostomy care
Bladder ultrasound

🚗 Parking Notes

Night shift: Free parking
Day/Night rotation: ~$70/month
Orientation parking: ~$15 (one-time)

⏱️ Guaranteed Hours Policy

36 hrs/week guaranteed
Facility can cancel shifts, but only in full shift increments
