Position Overview
Assists physicians with diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath/EP Lab. Specializes in the care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP devices and ablations. The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist functions as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance to cardiologists in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent - Cardiovascular Technologist Program
- Radiology Technologist Program or Bachelor's in Health Science
- 2+ years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech with EP experience listed on resume
- (RCIS) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification or ARRT required
- (IABP) – Intra-aortic Balloon Pump Course required
- (BLS) - Current Basic Life Support certification
- (ACLS) – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- On call required for nights, weekends, and holidays
