Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Florence, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Work in the Emergency Department of a Level III Trauma facility
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Shift: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
- Possibility to float to Overflow unit
- Patient population includes all ages (pediatrics through geriatric)
- Patient ratios typically 1:3 or 1:4
- Electronic Health Record system: MediTech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Additional Information
- Unit has 37 beds including 4 trauma bays and 7 fast track rooms
- Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
- Supervision by Nurse Manager / Director
