Description
Travel PCU RN – Plymouth, MA
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Scheduled Hours: 36 per week
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a 5-bed intermediate care/stepdown unit. The role involves caring for high-acuity patients requiring close cardiac and respiratory monitoring. The unit manages patients on advanced therapies including BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and multiple titratable drips. This position is ideal for nurses with strong telemetry and critical care experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and assess patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions
• Administer and titrate IV drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Nitro, Cardizem, Insulin, Dobutamine)
• Provide care for post–cardiac catheterization patients
• Interpret telemetry and respond to cardiac rhythm changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols
Requirements:
• Minimum experience in PCU and Telemetry required
• Experience with cardiac drips and high-acuity patients
• Active Massachusetts RN License
• BLS
• Epic EMR experience required
