Description
Infusion RN – Newburyport, MA
Contract Length - 13 weeks
Shift - 8-hour days (start time 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM)
Scheduled Hours: 40 per week
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Infusion Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in an outpatient oncology setting. This role involves administering chemotherapy, monitoring patients during infusion treatments, and ensuring safe and accurate delivery of medications. The ideal candidate will have strong oncology and infusion experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer IV infusions, including chemotherapy and other medications.
• Monitor patients for reactions and manage side effects during treatment.
• Ensure safe handling and administration of oncology drugs.
• Assess patient conditions and provide ongoing clinical support.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and aftercare.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ years of infusion and chemotherapy experience
• Oncology experience required
• Massachusetts RN License
• BLS (AHA)
• ONS/Chemotherapy certification preferred (not required)
• Strong IV therapy and patient care skills
