Description
Job Title: Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist (Pediatric Echocardiography)
Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (8 Hours)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Pediatric Echocardiography to join the Cardiology team at Boston Children’s Hospital. The ideal candidate will perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound examinations on pediatric patients, including those with complex congenital heart conditions, across multiple care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric echocardiograms, including routine and complex congenital heart disease cases
- Conduct imaging across all phases of care:
- Diagnostic
- Pre-operative
- Intra-operative (under anesthesia)
- Post-operative
- Independently perform and analyze cardiac ultrasound studies
- Work across multiple locations including:
- Non-invasive labs
- Inpatient units
- Satellite facilities
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and documentation
- Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary care teams
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric echocardiography experience
- Certification:ARDMS – RDCS (Pediatric Echocardiography)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong experience handling pediatric patients
- Ability to perform studies independently in high-acuity settings
