Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum
Location: Waupun (WI)

Job Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 4x12 hours (07:00 PM – 07:00 AM)
• Start Date: 06/08/2026
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Patient Population: Neonates & Adults
• Unit Size: 5-bed Women & Infants unit
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• First-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, Mother/Baby, and Postpartum units
• Manage laboring patients, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and post C-section recovery
• Perform fetal monitoring using EFM and support labor checks/NSTs
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and pain medications
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication administration
• Provide newborn care including:
  • Newborn assessments
  • Thermoregulation
  • Cord care
  • Infant identification
  • Phototherapy and hypoglycemia monitoring
• Support breastfeeding, postpartum education, and discharge teaching
• Assist with epidural management and postpartum hemorrhage care
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic charting system

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Must be proficient in Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum care
• Epic experience required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Strong experience with:
  • Antepartum & postpartum care
  • Fetal monitoring
  • Newborn care
  • Pain management
  • IV therapy & phlebotomy
