Job Summary:
This RN role provides professional nursing care focused on healing, wellness, and individualized patient care. Nursing practice is guided by evidence-based standards, current research, hospital policies, and professional guidelines. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver direct patient care throughout the patient stay.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment & Care Planning

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
• Identify patient risk factors and prioritize care needs
• Collect objective and subjective patient data
• Consider patient culture, age, and developmental needs during care planning
• Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family

Direct Patient Care

• Implement nursing interventions, therapies, and procedures within scope of practice
• Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families
• Monitor and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and document responses to treatment
• Promote patient comfort and reduce stress during care

Coordination & Team Leadership

• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise team members providing patient care
• Monitor the accuracy and completeness of delegated care
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient education with Case Management and interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in staffing and patient assignment planning based on acuity and workflow needs

Quality & Professional Practice

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Support prevention measures related to falls, pressure injuries, CAUTIs, and documentation compliance
• Promote a positive team environment and healing atmosphere
• Practice according to evidence-based standards and current nursing research
• Maintain a holistic approach to patient care
