Job Summary:
This role provides diagnostic imaging services using a variety of radiographic techniques and equipment to support physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care, Safety & Preparation (30%)

• Greet patients and explain imaging procedures
• Obtain relevant patient history and clinical information
• Position patients appropriately for exams and ensure image quality
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any discomfort or concerns
• Provide reassurance and maintain patient comfort throughout the imaging process
• Follow infection control and safety protocols within the radiology department

Radiographic Imaging (40%)

• Perform general X-rays, fluoroscopy, and specialized imaging procedures
• Operate radiographic equipment and adjust exposure settings as needed
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images following physician orders and department protocols
• Apply radiation safety standards and ALARA principles to minimize exposure

Image Processing & Quality Control (10%)

• Review images for positioning, exposure, and clarity
• Perform image processing tasks such as cropping, collimation, and annotation
• Conduct quality control checks on imaging equipment and accessories

Documentation & Record Keeping (10%)

• Document exam details, patient information, and procedure notes in EMR/RIS systems
• Maintain accurate records related to radiation exposure and imaging parameters
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards

Collaboration & Communication (10%)

• Work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members throughout the imaging process
