Description
Job Title: RN – Labor & Delivery
Location: Brownfield, TX
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for laboring mothers, postpartum patients, newborns, and antepartum patients.
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions during labor, delivery, and recovery.
- Assist physicians during deliveries and emergency OB procedures.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and patient treatments per physician orders.
- Perform newborn assessments and provide postpartum education and breastfeeding support.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using OBEX and CPSI/TruBridge EMR systems.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
- Float to Med-Surg when census is low while remaining available for OB patients.
Requirements:
- Active RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Prior Labor & Delivery experience required
- Ability to work in a rural, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
