Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care to patients of all age groups in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include administering respiratory treatments, managing ventilators, assisting with airway management, and ensuring quality patient care while respecting patient rights and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

• Airway management and CPR
• Ventilator setup, operation, and monitoring
• Assist with intubation procedures
• ABG collection and analysis
• Chest physiotherapy and suctioning
• Administer respiratory medications and therapies
• Perform pulmonary function testing (PFT)
• Operate respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment
• Document patient treatments accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program (AS Degree required)
• Minimum 1 year of hospital respiratory therapy experience
• NBRC credentials required: CRT or RRT
• Certifications required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS (preferred/encouraged)
  • PALS (preferred/encouraged)
• Strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Equipment Experience

Experience with:

• Adult, pediatric, and infant ventilators
• Pulse oximeters
• Oxygen delivery systems
• Nebulizers
• EKG machines
• Holter monitors
• ABG analyzers
• Suction equipment

Additional Information
