Med Surg RN - Wheeling WV - Day/Night Rotate

Shift/Schedule: Day/Night rotating, rotating weekends/holidays as needed

50 mile radius rule -

# of beds: 30

Ratios: 1:6/7 *Ratio will get up to 1:7, RN must be ok with this.*

Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS

Common diagnoses/types of patients: CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI

Charge? One charge RN on the floor, with assignment. Nurse aides on this unit: Yes, PCTs on the unit. Are RNs required to Titrate drips? heparin based on aptt results. RT equipment: No vent, intermittent BIPAP. Tele on this unit? Yes, watched remotely by monitor techs

Shifts and Scheduling: Weekends and Holidays: Scheduled as needed, usually 1/2 the total weekends. Is there a standby or call requirement? No. Floating: As needed based on census, external traveler first to float. Scrub Color: Navy Blue
