Description
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately fill and verify prescriptions while identifying potential drug interactions
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and treatment plans
- Provide recommendations for over-the-counter medications and medical supplies
- Communicate with physicians and healthcare providers regarding prescription clarifications
- Process insurance claims and manage prescription refills using pharmacy software
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and assist with stock management
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and Utah pharmacy laws
- Administer immunizations using proper techniques
- Train and support pharmacy technicians by providing guidance and feedback
- Maintain a professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude
Qualifications
- Current Utah Pharmacist License required
- Controlled Substance License required
- CPR Certification required
- Authorized to administer immunizations
- Strong understanding of retail pharmacy operations and dispensing regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
