Job Summary: Respiratory Therapist

Facility Details

Location: Baptist Health (Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU), Montgomery, AL.
Capacity: 492 Beds.
EMR: Cerner.

Assignment Parameters

ID: 62427288
Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
Contract Length: 13 weeks.
Hours: 36 hours per week.
Floating: Required to any like unit; NICU therapists must also work with adult patients.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years. First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years experience and Cerner/Epic proficiency.
Credentials: RRT preferred (CRT considered with 2+ years experience).
Certifications: BLS and NRP (NICU) required; ACLS/APLS preferred.
Clinical Skills:
- Adult: General and critical care.
- NICU: Ground transport, Nitric Oxide administration, Level III NICU experience within the last 12 months.

Logistics & Scheduling

Equipment: Omnicell, Spacelabs, PB 840/980, Drager VN500, LTV, Airvo.
Orientation: 24 hours classroom, 24 hours unit-based.
Schedule: Every other weekend; voluntary on-call.
Holidays: One major and one minor seasonal holiday.
Time Off: Up to 7 days can be pre-approved (excluding blackout dates).
Attire: Any color scrubs (no bright/neon colors).
Parking: Free deck parking.
