Job Overview: RN Operating Room (Transplant)

Location: Cleveland Clinic (Teaching Hospital) 

Shift: 3x12-Hour Day Shift (11:00 – 23:30) 

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Key Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct Liver/Transplant OR experience.
• Skills: Must have experience in organ implantation (putting organs back in), not just procurement/harvesting.
• Specialty Depth: Strong experience in Liver, Heart, Lung, and Kidney transplants must be reflected on the skills checklist.
• Equipment: Proficiency in Misonix/CUSA is required.
• Nicotine Policy: This is a smoke-free facility. Candidates must test negative for nicotine/cotinine (10-panel + nicotine screen).

Certifications & Clinical Checks

• Required at Submittal: BLS and ACLS.
• Required for Start: NIHSS.

Schedule & On-Call

• Shift Details: 11:00 to 23:30. Includes "Liver Call."
• Call Requirement: One shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month.
• Weekend/Floating: Clinicians will float within scope as needed. Block scheduling is not available.

• Type: Short-term Acute Care / Teaching Hospital.
• Size: 230 staffed beds; 18 Operating Rooms.
• Charting: EPIC.
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue.
• Parking: Free in unrestricted spaces.

Submission Rules

• RTO: All Requested Time Off must be included at the time of submission. No RTO will be approved after the fact.
• References: 2 references from a direct supervisor, manager, or director are required.
• Rehire Policy: Permanent or per diem staff cannot return to Cleveland Clinic for 1 year after their end date.
• License: No license "hits" or disciplinary actions accepted.
