Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract Assignment – Hawaii
 

Job Details:

• Position: Cath Lab RN
• Location: Honolulu, HI
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 8-Hour Day Shifts
• Call Requirement: Frequent on-call required, including consecutive weekends as needed
• Start Requirement: Active Hawaii RN License required prior to contract start
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Unit Overview:
 

The Cath Lab RN will support a high-acuity cardiac catheterization laboratory providing specialized cardiovascular care and interventional procedures. The unit requires strong critical thinking, rapid response capabilities, and flexibility to support urgent and emergent cases, including after-hours call coverage.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately during procedures
• Administer medications and conscious sedation per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the EMR system
• Prepare procedure rooms and ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Participate in frequent on-call rotation, including weekends as required
• Follow hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety guidelines

Requirements (Strict):

• Active Hawaii RN License required prior to start date
• Recent Cath Lab RN experience required
• Must be able and willing to take frequent on-call assignments
• Must be available for consecutive weekend call coverage as needed
• Strong experience with cardiac monitoring and procedural care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – AHA
