Position: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Staunton, IL 62088

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Travel Pay Rate:
$2218 weekly ($27/hr w2 + $1246/week stipend)

Local Pay Rate:
$56/Hr on w2

Summary:
We are seeking an RN – Med/Surg for a 13-week contract in Staunton, IL, working night shifts (3x12, 18:45 – 07:15). This position is on a general Med/Surg unit caring primarily for geriatric patients, offering a consistent 1:5 patient ratio in a community hospital setting.

Duties:

• Deliver direct patient care in a Med/Surg unit (geriatric focus)
• Administer medications and treatments
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Initiate and maintain IV access and peripheral lines
• Provide oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, oxygen tanks, etc.)
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes
• Follow infection control protocols (PPE, isolation precautions)
• Document care using Meditech

Requirements:

• Active Illinois RN license (Valid Temporary License Accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• BLS certification required (ACLS, NIHSS preferred)
• Proficiency with Meditech charting system
• Strong clinical skills in IV therapy and patient care management
• Community hospital experience preferred
