Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Toledo, OH 43606
Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Start Date: 06/09/2026
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Toledo, OH 43606. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult, pediatric, neonatal, and geriatric patients in a high-acuity hospital setting. Candidates must be comfortable working in critical care environments, emergency response situations, and pediatric respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments and patient assessments across multiple patient populations.
- Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation including BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator weaning.
- Administer respiratory medications including bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, and aerosol therapies.
- Perform airway management procedures including suctioning, extubation, tracheostomy care, and intubation assistance.
- Assist during rapid responses, emergency codes, and CPR situations.
- Perform ABG sampling, interpretation, and specimen collection.
- Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal/pediatric respiratory care as needed.
- Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation.
- Float between regional hospitals as required.
- Maintain respiratory equipment including Servo I, Avea, and Bella Vista ventilators.
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio RRT License required at the time of submission.
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience after licensure required.
- RRT certification required.
- AHA - BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required prior to start date.
- Experience in Adult Critical Care required.
- Experience with pediatric respiratory care preferred.
- High-risk delivery experience preferred; candidates without experience must be open to on-site training.
- Epic charting experience preferred.
- Trauma Level I and teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable floating within the Metro Region as needed.
