Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Location: 4755 Ogletown Stanton Rd, Newark, DE 19718
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Nights – 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
Position Overview
- Unit: 3E Medical Intensive Care Unit
- Beds: 21–30
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Charting System: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Patient Population / Common Cases
- Respiratory illnesses
- Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding
- Drug overdose
- End-stage kidney disease
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (required, no exceptions)
- Ability to float to:
- Other ICUs
- Step-down units
- Transitional units
- ICU surge space (6D)
- Experience with SLEDD (continuous dialysis) preferred
Shift & Scheduling Details
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Yes
- Call Requirement: None
