Job Summary:

Cherokee Nation is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care for obstetrical patients, mothers, newborns, and general patient populations in a fast-paced hospital environment. The RN will assess patient conditions, develop care plans, administer treatments, monitor specialized equipment, and provide emergency interventions while ensuring quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients’ clinical conditions
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Provide care for obstetrical, medical, surgical, neonatal, and geriatric patients
• Administer medications, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, and emergency interventions
• Monitor and operate specialized equipment including infusion pumps, ventilators, pulse oximeters, and cardiac monitors
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations and initiate life-saving measures when necessary
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, preventative care, and discharge instructions
• Document nursing interventions, patient responses, and coordinated care activities accurately
• Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and unlicensed personnel
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and professional nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active Oklahoma RN License or Compact RN License
• Current certifications required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • STABLE
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements including background check and drug screening
