Description
Seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with mandatory Robotics experience for a full-time Surgical First Assist assignment starting in September. Coverage is needed 4 weeks/month, primarily Tuesday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM. Preference will be given to providers open to full relocation.
Schedule & Call:
- Full-time coverage starting September
- Tuesday–Friday | 7 AM–5 PM
- Opportunity for 1–2 weekend call shifts/month
- Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM
- Weekend rounding Sat–Sun | 8 AM–12 PM
- Opportunity for 4 weeknight call shifts/month | 5 PM–7 AM
Requirements:
- MUST have Robotics experience
- Active NY State License in hand
- Board Certified required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLS
- Updated work history with no gaps over 30 days
- Physician statement required for any malpractice history
- Include candidate email and phone number with submission
Role Responsibilities:
This position includes a combination of Surgical First Assist OR coverage and Medical Surgical Floor support for General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting during surgical procedures
- Hemostasis, wound closure, suturing, suction, drainage, and irrigation
- Patient positioning and immobilization during procedures
- Rounding, progress notes, consults, order management, and discharges

- 109-bed facility
- Adult acute care population
- Patient ratios: 1:10–15
- Charting system: Epic
- Medication dispensing: Pyxis
