Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Jamaica, NY
Contract duration: 13 weeks with possible extensions

Shift: - Days

Shift Time: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Expected Weekly Hours: 35 hours

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine techniques to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, comprehensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy, and a commitment to patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely, adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols.
Operate advanced medical imaging equipment, including PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scans and DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scans, ensuring optimal image quality.
Conduct diagnostic procedures involving nuclear medicine, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort throughout the process.
Analyze physiological responses during imaging procedures, applying knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to optimize results.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
NMT license for the state of New York
ARRT Registered (N)
