• Department: Inpatient Rehabilitation Program
• Location: Detroit MI 48236
• Positions Available (2)
• Position 1
• Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday
  Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Position 2
• Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday
  Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Job Type: W2 Contract-to-Hire
• Pay Rate $42.00-45.00 an hour
• Benefits: available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits
• Assess patients’ ability to safely perform activities of daily living and independent living skills
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including frequency and type of therapy
• Implement treatment plans using appropriate therapeutic modalities
• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding deficits, rehabilitation goals, and adaptive equipment
• Assist with discharge planning and coordination of continued care/services
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and therapy technicians in accordance with practice standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Michigan Occupational Therapist (OTR) License
• BLS Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
• Experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation
• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy preferred
• Acute Care experience preferred
• New graduate candidates will be considered and trained
