• Job Tile: Correctional RN
• Location: Waymart Pennsylvania 18472
• Shift: 5x8 hour shifts per week, 10pm-6:30am, includes every other weekend
• Pay: $54.00-57.00 an hour paid weekly
• Benefits: available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of acute and chronic conditions
• Conduct intake screenings and health assessments, identifying immediate medical and mental health needs
• Administer medications, injections, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Respond to medical emergencies, including trauma, overdose, and behavioral health crises
• Monitor patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and infectious diseases
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional staff to coordinate care plans
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures as needed
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in medication administration rounds and ensure proper medication storage and handling
• Provide patient education on health conditions, medications, and preventive care
• Assist in segregation rounds and monitor inmates in restrictive housing units
• Support mental health interventions and suicide prevention protocols
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and correctional healthcare standards
• Testify or provide documentation for legal or administrative proceedings when required
• Work effectively within a secure correctional environment, adhering to all safety and security procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• RN License
• Experience in Emergency Room, Mental Health, or Correctional Facility preferred, not required
