Description

Job Overview:-

 

We are seeking an experienced RNFA – Cardiovascular Surgery to join the OR team. The RNFA will assist during cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries alongside a team of 2 cardiothoracic surgeons and 3 vascular surgeons. This role is ideal for candidates with strong OR experience and expertise in cardiovascular procedures.

 

Responsibilities:-

  • Assist surgeons during cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
  • Perform:
    • Endoscopic vein harvesting
    • Radial artery harvesting
  • Provide intraoperative patient care and surgical assistance
  • Participate in OR call rotation
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams

Schedule & Call:-

  • Shift: 4x10-hour days (07:00–17:30)
  • Weekend Rotation: 1 in 4 weekends
  • Call Requirements:
    • 1 weekday night call (Mon–Thurs) every 4 weeks
    • 1 weekend call rotation per month
  • Floating: None

 

Required:-

  • Active Michigan RN License
  • CRNFA Certification
  • Acute Hospital OR Experience
  • Experience with:
    • Endoscopic vein harvesting
    • Radial artery harvesting

Preferred:-

  • Minimum 1-year RNFA experience
  • EPIC EMR experience
  • AHA certifications preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted
