Requirements:

• Minimum one (1) year of experience required.
• Oncology experience required.
• Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred.
• Must hold an active NYS Nurse Practitioner license/registration with specialty certification consistent with practice area OR active NYS licensed/registered Physician Assistant certification/NCCPA certification or eligibility required.
• Medicare NPI number or eligibility to obtain one required.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with attending physicians to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Accurately document subjective/objective findings, assessments, and treatment plans in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Utilize prescriptive authority in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Perform patient care functions in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision.
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with facility policies and standards.
