Requirements:

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
• Active NYS license/registration as a Radiologic Technologist required.
• Minimum one (1) year of CT/MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.
• Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists.
• Greet patients, explain imaging procedures, and position patients appropriately for examinations.
• Set proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality radiographic images.
• Practice radiation safety and protection standards to minimize patient exposure.
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
• Process films and accurately input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes.
• Follow departmental procedures, protocols, and policy guidelines regarding imaging services.
• Provide radiologic examinations based on referring physician and radiologist needs.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of imaging equipment while delivering high-quality patient care.
