Polysomnographic Technician – Travel Assignment
Location: Utica, NY
Contract Dates: June 1, 2026 – August 29, 2026
Shift: 3×12 Nights | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Call: None
Weekly Gross Pay: Up to $2,160/week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience performing overnight sleep studies, patient monitoring, CPAP/BiPAP titration, and maintaining accurate documentation in a clinical sleep lab setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform overnight polysomnographic sleep studies
- Prepare and educate patients prior to procedures
- Apply electrodes and monitoring equipment accurately
- Monitor and document patient data throughout studies
- Assist with CPAP/BiPAP titration and troubleshooting
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Completion of a Respiratory Therapy training/program, or
- Completion of accredited sleep tech training (A-STEP, CAAHEP, END, or equivalent)
Additionally, candidates must have:
- Current New York State licensure as either:
- Respiratory Care Practitioner with NBRC registration, or
- Polysomnographic Technologist
- Approximately 2 years of related experience
