Description

The assignment is a 13-week contract with as-soon-as-possible start, offering 40 guaranteed hours per week. The primary location is Aspirus Wausau, and there’s a strict radius rule requiring the traveler to live more than 50 miles away from the facility.

The position is a standard weekday schedule with 8-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but it includes flexibility and variability based on department needs. There are floating requirements across campuses/units in the central region if needed.

Call responsibilities include 1–2 weeknights per week, with a 30-minute response time, plus weekend/holiday call rotation every 4th weekend.

Required credentials include:

  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification
  • Wisconsin state license

Experience expectations are fairly specific: at least 2+ years in interventional radiology or related imaging, including work with:

Aspirus Stanley Hospital, Aspirus Medford Hospital, Aspirus Merrill Hospital, and Aspirus Langlade Hospital float to other facilities

  • Fluoroscopy and radiologic exams
  • Interventional procedures (vascular, neuro, cath lab exposure preferred)
  • CT and 3D imaging reconstructions
  • Complex IR/vascular/neuro interventions

The role also expects familiarity with interventional cath lab procedures and vascular/neuro interventions, along with strong general IR experience.

Charting is done in Epic, and the department is fast-paced, typically handling a high daily procedural volume (around 4–6+ cases/day) with a small team of 1 RN and 2 radiologic technologists.
