Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel)

Location: Sylva, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Acute care setting in a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit
• Patient ratio approximately 1:6
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours vary (every other or every 3rd weekend)
• No call requirements
• Float based on rotation
• Electronic Health Record system: Paragon

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required

Unit Profile & Patient Population

• Medical Surgical unit with a focus on general medical and surgical patients
• Common diagnoses and treatments related to Medical Surgical care
• Competency in Medical Surgical nursing skills is a must
