Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel)

Location: Sylva, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Acute care setting in a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit
Patient ratio approximately 1:6
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours vary (every other or every 3rd weekend)
No call requirements
Float based on rotation
Electronic Health Record system: Paragon

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required

Unit Profile & Patient Population

Medical Surgical unit with a focus on general medical and surgical patients
Common diagnoses and treatments related to Medical Surgical care
Competency in Medical Surgical nursing skills is a must
